When designing an outdoor cooking center, the Hasty-Bake 290 Hastings Cart is the ideal choice for those who want a charcoal grill with the ultimate custom built-in look. It is excellent for slow, indirect cooking as well as conventional grilling. It features 1,194 square inches of cooking surface, stainless steel primary cooking surface, 18 and 12 gauge stainless steel lift and fire box, and two individually controlled fireboxes allows for direct and indirect cooking methods simultaneously. The efficient use of charcoal heat requires use of only one firebox for smoking on entire grill. The secondary warming rack can easily be removed to accommodate even the largest cuts of meat. This Charcoal Grill also has new rollback hood design that allows for unobstructed access to entire grilling area and dual thermometers which are guaranteed to be within 99% accurate. Adjustable Fire Box Using the crank handle located on the side to raise and lower the fire box, this feature allows for total flexibility in the style of cooking (sear a steak, bake a ham, smoke a salmon). The pullout box features a heavy duty 0.25 diameter fire grates which hold the charcoal while allowing the ash to fall through into the ash pan. Grease Drain System V-shaped grills encourage grease and fat to drain off the meat, drip into the grease drain and continue outside the unit to the grease cup. Flare-ups are virtually eliminated. Full-Width Fire Door Allows for easy loading and starting of the fire, as well as removal of the fire box and ash pan for simplified cleaning.
